En 1964, Jean-Louis Trintignant croise Serge Korber, qui deviendra son réalisateur pour deux films, avant de devenir son ami pour la vie. Ce livre est le témoignage de cette amitié de près de 60 ans. L'histoire d'un petit garçon élevé comme une petite fille, d'un Ardéchois fidèle, d'un homme et plusieurs femmes, d'un comédien passé du théâtre au cinéma, de Maud à Romy, de la France à l'Italie, de Nadine à Marianne. Une histoire parfois triste où Marie est toujours présente, mais où tout finit quand même par des poèmes. Une histoire où l'on entend des voix. La sienne, bien sûr ; et celle de son " petit frère " Jacques Perrin. Puis celle de ses compagnons de route, Brigitte Bardot, Marie-Christine Barrault, Juliette Binoche, Jacqueline Bisset, Isabelle Huppert, Nadine Trintignant, Bernardo Bertolucci, Costa-Gavras, Michael Haneke, Denis Podalydès, Ettore Scola, Roman Kolinka...
