Book Presentation:
Depuis sa ville natale d'Antibes, Audiberti est un amoureux du "mur du fond" tendu en plein air. Il y associe le rire, la poésie, l'épopée, et entre en contact avec Victor Francen qui incarne Napoléon à l'écran. Ses nombreux écrits font référence au cinéma, à ses salles comme aux films qui l'ont marqué. Dramaturge reconnu et romancier au style baroque, Audiberti, journaliste de profession, a beaucoup écrit sur le 7e art, depuis Comoedia jusqu'à La Parisienne, en passant par les Cahiers du cinéma ; des commentaires outrepassant le simple compte-rendu. François Truffaut est tenté de mettre en scène ses romans, sans succès. Jean-Luc Godard s'en inspire. Audiberti trouve enfin avec Jacques Baratier un réalisateur capable de se mesurer avec son flot stylistique ; il réalisera La Poupée, étrange cas d'un roman devenu film puis pièce de théâtre.
