Aujourd'hui, cette histoire en image revit accompagné du film qu'avait réalisé Denys Colomd de Daunant en 1955, deux années après la Palme d'or du court métrage à Cannes attribuée à "Crin Blanc". Le thème de la liberté y est ici à nouveau central vécue au travers de cette relation d'amitié entre un cheval et un enfant.
