Cette livraison d'Archives est issue des manifestations qui marquèrent en Suisse le septantième anniversaire du premier Congrès international du cinéma indépendant (CICI), qui avait eu lieu en 1929 dans le canton de Vaud, à La Sarraz. La connaissance de cet important événement de l'histoire de l'avant garde cinématographique n'est guère étoffée depuis 20 ans, soit depuis les 2 numéros de Travelling (Lausanne), édités par Freddy Buache, qui accompagnèrent et prolongèrent la célébration du cinquantenaire du même CICI…
