Toutefois, en-dehors de son pays, elle demeure quasiment ignorée du grand public. Ce livre est le premier à présenter une analyse approfondie de la totalité de son œuvre cinématographique : neuf films réalisés en vingt ans (1976-1996), et qui couvrent une période de grandes mutations pour l'Espagne. Des illustrations photographiques et une série d'entrevues complètent l'ouvrage.
