Le grand public connaît bien la photographie de plateau et le making-of, effectués pendant le tournage d'un film et activement utilisés pour sa promotion. Le travail de dessin, souvent limité au story-board ou aux décors, reste naturellement dans l'ombre, puisqu'il se fait à un stade en quelque sorte " prénatal ". Patrice Leconte a parrainé l'invention, par une jeune desssinatrice, d'un genre nouveau : le dessin de plateau. Assidue et discrète, Sarah Fouquet a suivi de la construction des décors à la fin du tournage, en dessins assortis de légendes, le dernier film du réalisateur, Confidences trop intimes. Une vision novatrice du cinéma qui a fait dire à Patrice Leconte : " Ce making-of graphique est le compte rendu silencieux et poétique du tournage de notre film... "
