Malgré cette dispersion symptomatique, ou peut-être grâce à elle, le travail d'Egoyan maintient une continuité et une cohérence percutante. Cet ouvrage propose d'examiner la culture survivante, en l'occurrence arménienne post-génocidaire, à travers sa transmission discontinue que donne à voir Egoyan. L'auteure se limite à l'analyse de quatre long-métrages dans lesquels on retrouve les diverses représentations des identités de la diaspora arménienne, mais toujours dans un Canada multi/interculturel.
