Alors que La Dolce Vita (1960) s’apprête à célébrer son cinquantième anniversaire, La Dolce Vita, l’Album revisite l’un des chefs-d’œuvre du cinéma en proposant le fac-similé des albums du tournage, un document unique et fascinant. Près de 1 000 photographies originales sont réunies dans cet album. À l’époque certaines ont servi à la promotion du film, d’autres sont venues illustrer des reportages et des interviews, mais la plupart sont restées inédites. Intercalés entre les albums, un texte de Sam Stourdzé et une iconographie principalement extraite de la presse de l’époque dévoilent les sources d’inspiration de Federico Fellini. On découvre, entre autres, qu’une série de photos publiée dans la revue Tempo immortalisa Anita Ekberg lors d’une baignade nocturne dans la fontaine de Trevi... deux ans avant La Dolce Vita !
