Book Presentation:
Fritz Lang (1880-1976) est, avec M le Maudit, Métropolis ou la série des Dr Mabuse, l'une des figures majeures de l'histoire du cinéma. À voir et à revoir ses films, aussi bien allemands qu'américains, on s'aperçoit à quel point sa vie personnelle rejoint son œuvre. Divisé en trois grandes périodes, ce livre suit pas à pas l'aventure cinématographique de Fritz Lang à travers des textes de Fritz Lang lui-même, des scénarios inédits, des extraits des journaux de l'époque, et des témoignages d'amis, de collaborateurs et d'interprètes de ses films. Résultat de plusieurs rencontres avec Fritz Lang, à Paris, en Allemagne et à Hollywood où l'auteur a séjourné à son domicile en 1966, ce livre s'achève par une filmographie revue et corrigée.
