Le 1er Février 1921, les Établissements Louis Aubert présentaient à la corporation les quatre premiers épisodes d'un nouveau ciné-roman sous le titre énigmatique de Mysteria. Le fait en soi n'avait rien d'exceptionnel : on était alors en pleine « cinéromanie ». Et ce, depuis que la maison Pathé avait eu l'idée d'introduire en France, en décembre 1915, un sérial produit par sa filiale amérciaine, Les mystères de New-York.(…) En présentant Mysteria, les établissements Louis Aubert ne faisaient que suivre la mode. Apparemment, ce ciné-roman s'inscrivait dans un courant très prisé, celui des films d'aventures exotiques…
