Book Presentation:
Claire est étudiante en anthropologie. Une étudiante prolongée puisqu'elle va sur ses 30 ans. Sa vie additionne les anxiétés et les frustrations. Donc, Claire somatise et tombe malade. D'horribles migraines poussent son médecin traitant à la faire admettre dans un service hospitalier de neurologie. Le film va être le récit du mois d'hiver passé par Claire à l'hôpital dans une chambre où elle a pour voisines une jeune femme, Odette, paralysée des deux jambes et une vieillarde, Eléonore, aux limites de la démence. Le film racontera aussi comment Claire sortira étrangement guérie et aguerrie par cette expérience de la douleur des autres. Une initiation à la compassion et à la vraie tendresse qui lui permettra d'affronter sa nouvelle vie.
