Book Presentation:
La sortie en 1994 de La Reine Margot, réalisé par Patrice Chéreau d’après un roman d’Alexandre Dumas, fut considérée en son temps comme un événement national. Si l’œuvre divisa la critique, elle est aujourd’hui pleinement reconnue dans sa valeur patrimoniale. Le film n’en reste pas moins difficile à saisir car il constitue à la fois une interrogation sur les représentations de l’histoire, une expérience narrative, une réflexion sur la possibilité d’incarner dans des corps d’acteurs les grands personnages du passé. Le présent ouvrage explore ces pistes et propose en outre un parcours analytique au fil des scènes et séquences, abondamment commentées.
